Getting Started with WordPress Integration

Connecting Rankwise to your WordPress site takes just 5 minutes. Once connected, you can publish AI-optimized content directly to your site without any manual intervention.

Connection Methods

Rankwise supports two ways to connect to WordPress:

1. Application Password (Recommended)

WordPress 5.6+ includes built-in application passwords. This is the fastest way to connect:

  1. Go to Users > Profile in WordPress admin
  2. Scroll to Application Passwords
  3. Enter "Rankwise" as the application name
  4. Click Add New Application Password
  5. Copy the generated password
  6. Paste it in Rankwise when connecting your site

2. Rankwise Plugin

For WordPress sites that don't support application passwords, install our lightweight plugin:

  1. Download the Rankwise WordPress plugin
  2. Upload and activate in your WordPress admin
  3. The plugin generates a secure connection token
  4. Enter the token in Rankwise to complete setup

Publishing Workflow

Once connected, publishing works seamlessly:

  1. Create content in Rankwise - Generate articles using campaigns or manual creation
  2. Review and edit - Make any final adjustments in the Rankwise editor
  3. Publish - Click publish and the article appears on your WordPress site

All formatting, images, and metadata are transferred automatically.

Category and Tag Management

Rankwise automatically syncs with your WordPress categories and tags:

  • Map Rankwise topics to specific WordPress categories
  • Auto-generate tags based on article content
  • Create new categories directly from Rankwise if needed
