How we ask
We put each tracked question to Perplexity through DataForSEO's LLM Responses API, using the sonar model with web search on, and read the sources the answer cites. That is the engine's API, not a signed-in session in the Perplexity app, so an answer can differ from the one a person sees.
How often
Every 7 days per question, spread across that window so a domain's checks do not all land on one day. On free and trial accounts, scheduled checks pause after 14 days without a sign-in and resume on the next visit.
