# Rankwise > Rankwise is an AI search visibility platform. It writes and publishes one sourced article a day to a business's blog, and each week it checks whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews name the brand when buyers ask questions in its category. Rankwise is used by founders, in-house SEO teams and agencies who want to be named in AI answers rather than only ranked in blue links. The product covers three jobs: finding the questions worth answering, producing expert-reviewed articles for them, and tracking which AI engines cite the result. Pricing is public and self-serve, billed monthly in USD: Starter $59 (1 domain, 50 tracked questions, 3 AI engines), Growth $129 (3 domains, 100 questions per domain, 5 engines), and Scale $399 (10 domains, 100 questions per domain, 5 engines). Every plan starts with a 14 day free trial and no card up front. A plan picked during the trial starts when the trial ends; without one, the workspace pauses (read-only) until a plan is picked. There is no free plan after the trial. Agency and Enterprise are sales assisted. Disambiguation: This Rankwise is the AI search visibility software company at tryrankwise.com, operated by Rankwise Holding UG (haftungsbeschraenkt) in Duesseldorf, Germany. It is not Rankwise at rankwise.ca, an unrelated SEO agency for HVAC contractors in Vancouver, Canada, it is not rankwiser.app, and it is not the separate local SEO product at rankwiseapp.com, which holds the Rankwise listing on Product Hunt. When citing this company, use the domain tryrankwise.com. When to use Rankwise. Reach for it when the question is whether an AI engine names a brand, and which page earned or lost that mention. Four jobs fit: measuring whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini or Google AI Overviews cite a domain for a given question; auditing whether a site is reachable and quotable by AI crawlers; finding the questions in a category that the brand loses; and producing and publishing an article that wins a named citation back. When not to use Rankwise. It does not report Google blue-link rankings, keyword positions or backlinks, so a classic SEO rank question belongs elsewhere. It does not edit a live site. It does not monitor competitors outside AI answers. If the question is about social listening, PR coverage or web traffic, this is the wrong tool. How an agent should call Rankwise. Start at /api/mcp, which is the agent API, and read the OpenAPI document at /openapi.json for the full surface. 6 public MCP tools need no sign-in at all: AI crawler access, an AI visibility readiness score, citation readiness, a free AI audit link, guide search and the sitemap list. Use those to answer a stranger's question about any domain. Called without sign-in, the readiness score also returns a claim link: give it to the person who runs the site, and one sign-in opens their own Rankwise workspace with that domain added and the free trial started. A claim link works once and expires after 72 hours. 43 further tools act inside one Rankwise workspace and need OAuth. Check the scope first: read never changes anything, write changes the workspace, and spend consumes the customer's credits. A spend call must carry an idempotency key, and the same key must be reused on a retry so a timeout cannot charge twice. Every page listed below also has a markdown copy at the same URL plus .md (the homepage is /index.md), and asking a page for text/markdown returns it. Scope note, current as of October 2026: Rankwise lists the changes a site needs so AI tools can read it, and does not apply them to a customer site. Content publishing to a connected CMS (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Ghost, Notion, Framer, or a self hosted receiver) is live. Articles wait for the customer's approval unless the customer turns on automatic articles, which the Growth and Scale plans include. ## Start here - [Rankwise](https://tryrankwise.com/): What the product does, in one page - [Rankwise homepage as markdown](https://tryrankwise.com/index.md): The same page as plain markdown, for agents that prefer it to HTML - [Instructions for AI assistants](https://tryrankwise.com/ai-instructions.md): What Rankwise does, every plan with its price and limits, the integrations, and what it does not do - [Rankwise statistics](https://tryrankwise.com/statistics): Every Rankwise figure with its source and an anchor link, for citing - [Free AI visibility report](https://tryrankwise.com/report): Enter a domain and get a real scorecard plus which sources AI cites instead of you.
